Should the Endicott Estate be privatized to save the town $400K in yearly maintenance fees?

The Endicott Estate is a landmark in Dedham that more than 80 community groups use during the year. Maintaining the property costs the town $400,000. Town officials are looking to privatize the estate so that the money can go back into the town budget to be redistributed to other programs. Do you agree with this plan? Why or why not? Read more about possibly privatizing the Endicott Estate.

No, it might even be illegal.   Private groups managing town owned property must,  is some cases not have their own books. Moneys must go through the towns books.
