You need to think long and hard about what you are saying. It is the liberal outlook on life that is killing us as a society. If that teacher chooses to make money in that seedy industry, thats his business. But in no means should he be near our children. If any school in the country new about his past, he would not have been hired.
Maybe he is a ped, maybe not, but why would anyone risk the possibility. I don't care if he is gay or not, but he evidently likes to display himself on camera for the whole world to see. To me, this is not normal behavior.

was this not on his Resume ---or did the Agency Representing him never told the School's Administration.

teacher and school committee --Why was this regulation overlooked by the Charter School in hiring this teacher.
Again I take with a grain of salt what channel 25 reports but after what is happening accross this state hazzing in North
Andover, and lawerence the take over of their schools, some
thing has to change in our Educational System.

You say the past is the past. This guy made those films in 2010. What is going to stop him from making more, or is there more that haven't been released. The past is now. He should go back to the industry and stay away from our youths. He has no business teaching our students.

First of all, I never said the school was at fault. So do not say that I did. Do you not read? I said that I totally understand why the school put him on paid leave. They have a moral obligation to the students to investigate this. They absolutely did the right thing.

If we knew the dirty little secrets of every teacher out there, we would all be shocked! I don’t agree with what he did, but it’s none of my business, nor is it yours! It appears to me that you are angry because he is a gay man. Did you know that I marry same-sex couples? Yup, 120 couples since same-sex marriage became law in Massachusetts in 2004! Tonight many students from the school posted on Malden Patch defending their teacher! I give them so much credit for speaking their minds! They sound so much more intelligent than many of the adults. They want their teacher back. Another student started a Facebook page called “We-Want-Mr-Hogan-Back”. That says a lot to me about how they feel. Maybe the adults should listen to some of them.

@MAJusticeOfThePeace - That is a pretty moving testament to this man's ability to teach, and also to how his students feel about him in terms of the safe atmosphere of his classroom.

Everyone - and usually the most outwardly moral among us - has something in their past they've regretted doing or would not wish to come to light. It's been my personal experience that the more "moral" one touts themselves to be, usually the more it is they have to hide too. />:\

Starring in adult films absolutely does NOT make one any more of a candidate for pedophilia than someone who's led an otherwise blameless life. The assertion that porn star = pedophile is so patently absurd.

It seems lately every hot button issue with this school, it is the parents that make a bigger deal than the kids. For example, recently the school sent a message to parents that juice or flavored water would only be allowed at lunch time, no longer allowed during either of the two snack times. Well parents got crazy about this, claiming that their kids don't like the taste of water, or need for it to be ice cold, or need for it to be lukewarm. ARE YOU KIDDING ME PEOPLE? This is why kids get away with 99% of the BS they try, because they have parents sticking up for them for the most trivial things, that when ACTUAL issues like this come up, no one knows how to solve them.

The way you connect Hogan to Sandusky is just mind-boggling. The allegations against the MVCRS teacher are not of pedophilia and child abuse. That's why the school is conducting an investigation into whether or not there was any improper conduct of this teacher in his professional setting, to get to the bottom of this matter.

For you to make this thing a liberal vs. conservative debate is just out of line. People just need to use more common sense, as hellgirl points out, and I think MVCRS is going about this the right way.

@JustinApinyen - Are you kidding me?! My daughter's pre-school only serves juice at meals - and usually, only at breakfast. I allow her two juices a day. After that, it's water or milk. What the Flock is wrong with these parents?! I mean seriously. Flavored water is water with sugar and artificial sweeteners. Most juice, especially in massive quantities, is also rubbish. Yet something tells me that these are the same parents who would get upset over the idea of their special snowflake being served non-fair-trade, organic goods otherwise.

How long has he been teaching?

Is he a good teacher?

Has be ever introduced the kids to porn?

Has he ever taught the kids that Gay is the way to go?

My point is that this story is not about him being gay. This is 2011, and people need to get over that. It is not going to stop people from being gay. They are who they are.

And people like Driver keeps making that point. Why not just say he was a porn star? Period! Why does the "gay" factor have to be kept getting thrown into the mix? Porn is porn, and no I do not agree with porn. Gay or straight!

My goodness, if we were to look into everyone's closets, what would we discover? As far as I can tell from reading the posts on Patch and Facebook, from the kids who he taught, this man did nothing to hurt them. However that remains to be seen until the school is finished with their investigation. If he did hurt one of them, then by all means the man should be fired and more! But if he did not, my personal view is that he should not be fired.

Pats2012  On Thursday both HLN & CNN & Fox National was discuss the Penn State, Syrcause, Florida AM and other schools with the Mystic Valley Charter School and again Anderson Cooper pointed out something is wrong in our Educational System and is the criteria on hiring and investigating problems.
They spoke about the two schools in Massachusetts MVCS anf
Andover on how these schools have gone into the close door
process where nothing is given to the public to read or understand what happen or how they can prevent it from happening again. Mr Anderson & Mr Politan feel kevin Hogan has done more than 3 movies.

Maldengal---first I was only repeating what was talked about on the TV but again it seems in Malden the Stupidity is very
wide spread. look I really do not care if the school closes it doors tomorrow because I am worrying about my Health.
See I have collapsed 4 times in the last two weeks and my specialist only wants me to walk around the block until they can find out what is happening. My Two specialist ( one is at
Mass Gen. Hospital & the other is at Beth Isreal) have scheduled me for test this week and probably surgery shortly

To All; First wher is Councilor Kinnon seems he is hiding from this problem< I wonder why?  Second it still has not be finalized
on a solution /> If he broke the Contract why has he not been fired as of today?  Another question still not answerered is how
his license/certificate was rushed through the System. Who pushed the issue /> Someone is hiding the truth?

He has been licensed since 1998, I know your old, but that doesn't seem like a rush to me.
