    Ideas to help Malden to save.

    Pay As You Throw was a big hit in Malden. And with all big hits comes a Remix or follow up. So Mr. Mayor here are some great ideas for you to force on the residents and save money at the same time.
    Pay As You Eat- Tax residents for each time they eat. This will cut down on trash and also obesity. Make Malden the "Slimmest City To Live In" now.
    Pay As You Give Birth- Having more then one child will be a NO NO in Malden. If you do you, should have to pay even higher taxes because your kids will be using up space that could be used for a charter school or condo.
    Pay As You Drive- If your car is registered in Malden you have to install a machine that will take you as far as you pay in quarters. Not to mention Tolls that we should set up on Eastern Ave and Salem Street!!!
    Pay As You Walk- Hey the side walks belong to the city. If you use a side walk PAY UP!!!
    Pay As You Sneeze- You can buy Blue or Gold Tissues at select stores. This will cut down on the spread on various flu viruses. No one wants a sick snot nose neighbor!!!
    Other Great Ideas.
    Raise Property taxes even higher!!! Malden is like Paradise compared to other cities. These people need to realize this and to get people thinking you have to hit them in the wallet!!! I mean Cmon what other city has Sparks???
    Raise the Water Bill even higher!!! Better yet bottle our water. Its a rich cloudy metallic tasting water that has your palette saying WHAT WAS THAT??? Malden residents should embrace the richness we have here.
    A kissing booth!!! So we can all kiss the Mayor and Ward Councilors for doing such a wonderful job in making Malden a GREAT place to live.
    So many ways you can save and make money. And here is a hint...do it behind closed doors because really.....who cares about the residents HA HA HA HA HA.

     Tea party your right like Dan C I hope just scare tactics but my question is when will he cut people in City Hall ----I have list of employees and it is like a Family Reunion there, I suggest 2 positions
     to start---Secretary of committees she is related to the someone
     in the Administration ---Than let the City Solicator go because her
     relatives are Councilwoman D. Fallon and also related to State Rep
     Chris Fallon---maybe it is time everyone ask for list of City   employees, these are Public Records with their salaries; Just ask
     the City Clerk    see what Mrs Anderson tell you.

    Tea Party1776---Want to have some fun call the City Clerks office and ask for a copy of all City employees by department you have the
     right to this information under the Public Records Laws of this State.
     than you see all the Political Connections and relatives working for
     this city.
     Two questions---why didn't the City doa state/nationwide search for
     a Police Commissioner and again for a Police Chief ---it seems they
     care for their friends and relatives ---call the Clerks Office!

    Tea Party - Very funny.  You should roast Commisioner Genetti at his inauguration dinner.

    Farenella - You're so off topic, I'm not sure how to respond to you.  It sounds like you're extremely dissatisfied judging by all your posts.  Let me help you with that: http://www.apartmentsnotinmalden.com

      whtdidisay---maybe you should find a job outside city hall  lol
      2nd--- i am not off topic why reduce police and fire when all it
      takes is look at what other cities did--Example Somerville---reduced
      staff in City Hall,out sourced the high school Jamiors,and asked all
      the unions to join GIC----which saved the  city 5% in health care.
      Malden pays 9.5% to harvard Pilgrim versus 4.55 at GIC----he saved
       8.1 million dollars in deficit and also jobs. why can't Malden do the
       same. This benefits the citizens of malden in safety and protection.

    See  anyone who does not think like you you THINK works for the city. People have different ideas and opinions. Your tactics are why the people do not listen. Im sure if I got your proposal and presented it in a prof manner, I would get better feed back from them.

     TeaParty1776 I am very professional in writing proposals, I also know

     how they should move forward, when a mayor and City Council is

     afraid to do the work than they turn deaf ears.

     Now for the Budget this mayor again did not do his homework and

     now wants to layoff Police,Fire, DPW Workers because of Healthcare

     premiuns. Again I did my research and homework and other cities did

     not layoff people who protect & save lives everyday.

      Again Look at Somerville and Everett no layoffs of police and fie

      personnel;

    Farenella...

    The original post was a lighthearted attempt at humor and, considering the seriousness of ALL the other posts on this discussion board, it was a welcomed change.

    You, on the other hand, continue to try to SHOVE your opinions and supposed proposals down everyone's throats here.  Enough already.  Spend more time working on your presentation and less time making accusatory (and incorrect) statements about other posters' job statuses.

    You ARE off topic, my friend.  Post your gibberish in the 40 or 50 other threads you've already hi-jacked.  Better still, spend time looking for a place to live in a town that isn't hell bent on making your life miserable.

     To what did i say------my opinions is what makes this country great;
     maybe if you do some research you see how truthful I am;
     Understand "Truth is in the EYE of the Beholder'
      An I have the eye watching this city malfunctions on a daily basis;

    Farenella, BEAUTY is in the eye of the beholder, not truth.

    Understand this: we ALL have opinions and, yes, that's what makes this country great.  Recognize that not everyone's opinion matches yours and that difference of opinion doesn't make them a city worker.  The fact of the matter is you continually, in a belligerent and repetitive manner, shove your viewpoints down the throats of others with complete discourtesy and lack of respect.

    If you have ALL answers then why isn't anyone listening to you?  And if they won't listen to you then WHY DO YOU BOTHER?  To be honest, the jack hammer technique you employ makes me NOT CARE ONE BIT whether you can help or not and I'm sure every government office you've contacted feels the same way.  Since you're so fond of proverbs, here's one for you: You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

    You see what you want to see. If you see something you dont like, that person works for the city!!! Like sitting around with Bigfoot drinking kool aid wearing tin foil hats looking for UFOs in the bermuda triangle. Oh while Elvis sings us a song or three about a "Magic Bullet".

      Vendetta------First why is alway the Police and Fire department

       have to laid off-----Maybe look at Somerville, Everett, Medford

       they start looking at reshuffling the city hall workforce rather

       than layoff the people we need the most.

       I did my homework or research--and know what this mayor is

       doing is playing politics with citizens lives:

        I honestly could care less who gets laid off. City Hall or the Police. The Firemen YES I care about them. But the rest do jack in my opinion.

        There are 11 Police jobs that are not filled yet. So counting those only 2 officers would be laid off. That isnt as bad as it sounds.

        Having 2 Firemen cut is serious in my opinion. Those men earn every dime they make.

        As for EMTs. I say get rid of Cataldo all together. They been crooked from day one.

        An increase on your co-pay or your job. What one would you take?

     Vendetta---wrong again--do your homework------your telling me
      there is not 2 to 4 in City Hall that can be laid off instead of the
      Police and Fire. Start with telling everyone your name stop hiding
      behind a fake name be real;
     Ask your friends who call Mass general to find out who my heart
     doctor and asked about my medical records. this is against HIPAA
     and the Patients Bill of Rights---no one wants to admit it but I
     have proof---Only two city councilors knew about my heart condition
     ---Is it alright for them to do this/ Maybe with you it is because you
      hide behind a fake name;
        My attorney is handling the problem concerning my Doctor and my
      medical records--Maybe you can tell the Mayor:
       again all meetings are Public Record and minutes should be kept
       and posted ---again they are not;

    More ignorance showing how these people were elected. If you don't know what you are talking about then say nothing. You and your daddy are under the impression nobody pays co pays. THEY DO. Look into what you are saying before you continue to make a fool of yourself. If you went to the last council meeting it is going to be 13 firemen cut. It is going to be 15 policemen on top of the 10 or 11 they are already down. No cuts to the school above the 10 people already retiring. That make sense to you now? The budget is being balanced on health care. That isn't a concern to you? It should be. An obvious dislike for the police doesn't help with your point either.

     Wardwatch it is vendetta-who feels police layoffs are okay, but me one  police officer being laid off is one two many same goes with the Fire department these are people we need.
     If you read what i said and what someone in city hall did to find out

     about my doctor and medical records is a disgrace, besides breaking

     the HIPAA and the Patients Bill of Rights Laws.

     Now I find out that all minutes of meetings held by the City Council

     are Public Records per the Mass. General laws and the City Charter

     which still does not post them.

      Again--this City Council is protecting their friends and relatives

      take the City Solictor has 3 paralegals ---why not just one?

    You accused the Council of contacting your Doctor at MGH and now you think you can walk though the door at a meeting and have all the answers your looking for.
    That was a bold statement and like I said I am sure they have been advised not to speak with you.
    You got a lawyer involved, made a threat on a serious matter and now you want the same people your accusing to speak with you.
    You need to fucus on your mental health and your physical health before anything.

     Threestooges88---my mental health has never been a question,my heart problem is another concern which I am handling one day at a

     time. I never made a threat, see what people consider a threat is

     only stating the truth. I trust my doctor and feel why would he lie!

     Do you know what HIPAA is or What the Patients Bill of Rights Are?

     I really do not care if they talk to me or not,  I just want them to

     do their jobs and not sit on their hands.

     Do want police and fire personnel laid off--when they can find the

     money in other areas if they do the research.

    Yes I asked my Daddy as we played GI Joe and Enoyed icecream. After that post he talked to one of the Cops he is friends with and they do make a co pay. So he got his info wrong from someone who is against the cops and its union.

    But raising the Co-Pay I do not think is a big deal. I think its to $20. Do the cops get a cost of living increase? Well elderly dont and there health far is all messed up.

    The mayor raised meal taxes in Malden. He wants a bigger Co Pay. Raised Water/Sewer. All things I do not agree with. But when ones job is on the line and the Mayor is not giving an inch, keep your job and go with the co pay.

    Where do people get their information from? As a matter of fact NO the police/fire do not get a cost of living increase. Also your co pay number is wrong, try doubling that and multiply that times five for an ER visit. You left out the $1000.00 deductable and additional penalty the mayor wants to impose of another $1000.00. The police took a signifigant pay cut also. Does anyone realize that? Two of your city councilors supported the first responders. The rest are obviously not concerned about our safety in Malden. Hopefully some decent people run for office. What a disgrace.
