     What type of Paper work is needed-----to ask for him to step down;
       does have to be official or a pre-typed letter;
      Where is Bob Miller on this;

    Re: Open Letter to Mayor Howard and all Ward Reps

    Well, I have been researching exactly that.  First, we need to circulate petitions to registered voters, a la PAYT.  The percentage of signatures required varies from city to city, but recalls usually require a higher percentage of signatures than a petition like PAYT.  We would also have to get the signatures within 64 days, then file the recall petition with the state of MA, who will certify it for the ballot.  Now, problem with this whole scenario is that we got almost 10,000 signatures to reverse PAYT, but at voting time, only 5,000 people came out to vote.  I would hate to go through this exercise again and have the same result.

    This mayor has how much longer? Is it 2011 for the next election for mayor? I think people are too afraid to sign a petition like that, they fear the city...I also heard a rumor that this mayor will not finish his term, so maybe a petition like the PAYT might not work for us..What we need to do is keep the news interested in everything underhanded that goes on in Malden...One question, if the mayor did get recalled who would be taking his place, would it be the same evil as we have right now?

    Recall Vote---Go to City Clerks Office in City Hall--than tell you want to petition the Election Commission for the signature blanks and they
     will tell you Exactly how many signatures per person you want to
     Recall---Starting with the Mayor, Councilor Neal Anderson,Neal
     Kinnon, judith Bucci, J. Nestor, P. Dipietro, B.Murphy.
      do it tomorrow before noon and see what a comotion it will
      start----want to meet me there----I willing to go for it.

    He sure would (Darth Vader).  Well, since we really would not have time to get the recall going, I really think an old fashioned protest in front of city hall with the news media would help.  Of course we would have to get through the crowd of substance abusers that line Pleasant Street.

    Ward Watch&Mayfoto

     The time for a recall is set when we gather enough signatures and

     that date is set by the sec.od state---the signature date is set by

      the Clerk's office---I was the only one at the Clerk's office wonder

      why---this seems like just complaining on here is the only thing all

      of you will do--You Will Never Challenge or Show up at a Protest.

     First Protest should be at First Council Meeting and every citizen who

     cares should show up.

     Another Way is to do a sit In at the Mayor's Office and have all the

      News outlets there---than it takes people who are not afraid of a

      title--we elected him he is suppose to listen to us.

    I think that would be a great idea, I wonder how many people would come out though...I think there should be protests every Tuesday night in front of city hall..Oh wait, I forget, they come thru the back door...

     MaldenLifer-----To Do A Recall you need to petition the Election
     Commission and they give you Signatures Sheets and tells you
     the percentage you need and date they have to be in by.
     You want a protest---first find out when the next Council Meeting is
      by calling Clerk of committees 781-397-7130 and ask her.
      Than organize with the MTFA and have the people show up at the
      City Council Chamber --like with 200 or more residents and the
      Television stations--making the Council to open up their meeting.
      For Information go to WWW.Massachusetts Sec.of State and than
      find exactly how to make official.
       Maldenliffer lets meet and discuss what to do.
