Should Malden Residents start using their second amendment rights

What is wrong with this City.  3 months ago somebody tried to kick in my front door in late morning hours and break in, they also tried a few windows.  Today , on a Saturday morning, two people carrying a baseball bat tried to break into my neighbors house, in braod daylight, they got way.

ANd now talking to my neighbors most of them are experienceing the same thing.  Cops tell us its drug addicts and they cant do anything about it (this latest episode scare me, breaking into our homes with weappons in broad daylight).

Meanwhile the Mayor was recommending cutting police force numbers. What happened to this city.  Why are the police powerless against "drug Addicts".

Should Malden residents start arming themselves since the city and the law enforcement cant protect us from this.  There is a crime wave in my neighborhood, with armed thugs trying to break into our homes with no fear of getting caught by non existant pratrol cars , unless they are undercover and trying not to be seen,  I got a better idea, be seen and Mayor Howard, do something about this !!!

Everyone else is armed. Dont think the cops are powerless just think they are outnumbered and pushed to the breaking point. I see lots of them running back and forth on Salem Street all day and night to the point we laugh about it while sitting on our porch.

Maybe we should think about hiring more cops then?  The idiot in charge seems to think we have to many.

I am a least getting myself a tazer gun this week,  With idiot lawyers I would  be the one going to jail defending my home for murder charges.

Maybe I should start a business in the square selling tazer guns and home prtoection.  Although they would probaboy sell for more than a buck so dont know how well that would go over

    Hey JirkyRick,

Have you tried contacting your local Ward Rep about this issue? If that doesn't work, it would be time to start a neighborhood watch program with your neighbors, and that would mean working with the MPD, and I don't know how receptive the cops would be...

       Best.

I have never had a problem with police or fire in malden. Its the people who keep getting elected that are the problem. I am guessing most supporting them on here are on the coat tails enjoying what others pay for.

Neigborhood watch program, not sure how that would work, how do you watch your neigbors home when you are at work.  The criminals know this, thats why they are striking in broad daylight, in the middle of the day and not even scared to be kicking in  your front door.

Previous poster is right, we need to vote the current bums out of city hall.

The cops are out numbered in this city and "living affordably in malden" criminal population is increasing.

If the mayor and police chief can't solve this, then they need to be removed.  They are paid to protect the citizens of Malden.  Evidently, they are not up to the task and have no ideas of what to do.

jirkyrick----- neighborhhod watch/crime watch is a national program
with many cities involved ---It works--But it also needs your Local
Councilor and Police Chief to work with your neighborhood

Well after this past weekend, I just may have to get a gun to protect myself.  Hopefully the two intruders shot are the same two terrorizing our neighborhood.  T

went into executive session to discuss the Police Department
than ended the meeting what a total disgrace time to throw them
