Two Shootings, Two Dead, One Weekend

Those are some numbers that you'll only find in a city that is  "The Best Place to Raise Your Kids" Keep up the good work Mr. Howard.

Sure, just read the banner on Main Street....if that's what it says, it must be so.  Oh, and don't forget the major brush fire set up Waitt's Mount two weeks ago by the "gentlemen" that avail themselves of services at 6 Pleasant Street and the many other fine "counseling" services we offer in Malden.  This fire could have reached some nearby homes but no, everything is wonderful in Howardville.

again if we were at a full Police force maybe the second shooting
might not have happen. Again drugs were found at the scene and
one of the people had a right to have a gun.
We need more undercover police and more Crime watch people
      in this city.
Again getting ready to run for Councilor in Ward 7

"It looks like it that it was some kind of either self-defense [by the gun owner] or an attempt to kind of clear the situation up,'' Howard said in a telephone interview

What the heck does that statement mean???

In both of the instances it sounds to me the "collectors" are looking to claim bad debts.

Again ---it is about Drugs and who is controling the streets at
night  Like I keep saying it is about the Budget and the reduction
of the Police and fire Departments ---It is Unsafe to walk in
      Malden after 9 Pm anymore.
I am running for ward 7 councilor and will push for Crime Watches
in every neighborhood of the city.
Lets clean up this Government it is corrupt.

Where was the Chief of police at both scenes on Vacation, seems
the mayor only answers phone calls and does not like appearing
at fires and shootings -----Both are alway not there when
they should be seem by the good citizens of Malden.
Like I said before he is a Ghost and a Corrupt one at best, has
not done one thing to fix this city. He only made it unsafe for
the citizens and children of this city.
The city council might show up some day to make statement but
they are the mayor's puppets. " Do as I say not do what is right"
They are afraid to speak out and afraid to let the citizens speak
        at council meeting to voice concerns;
Time to change this City for the better

The world is a little bit safer today.  Now we should just post a few cops at the T station and turn em around when they get off.  I do think there is a lot more to this story that does not meet the eye.

LastMaldenite-----There is alot more--my questions are simple where the hell was the chief of police or the Police Commissioner,
the Mayor only spoke on the Phone-----Again never showing up at
the site. This Drugs and Gang Activity that this Mayor and Chief of
Police says does not exist. It is time to Change the reasoning with
this Government. Show up at tonights meeting and speak out
because where was the Councilor for this Ward or the Councilor
for Shooting Saturday Night no where it sight why?
This city Government is Corrupt starting with the Mayor.

I ask all of you is this about drugs and gangs -------probably
it is something that causes a drive by and another a shootout
on the front door of a home.
When will someone from this City Speak out  -------
Where is the Chief of Police and Police Commissioner not infront
        of these incidents.
       Time to ask for a Crime Watch Program across the City;
Where is the City Council on these problems again missing in
       action.  They do not care;

Why does everyone always assume it's a drug deal gone bad?
Maybe it is, but just maybe it was an attempted robbery gone bad..
Of course it's always "Not A Random Act".. They can't say that it was random because people would panic..It is more important to the Mayor to get these recognitions in News Magazines than it is to keep Malden citizens safe...So, go ahead Mayor Howard, lay off PD and FD and maybe you can be in the unemployment line right next to them come election time...

If the citizens of Malden were aware of the actual number of
Malden Police on the street at night - they would lock their doors
and call a real estate broker to sell ASAP.................Thanks Rich !!!

this was not a random act.  there is no such thing of a "random shoot out"  You don't sit on your porch with a gun in your pants unless you think you need to use it.  How convenient, he just got his license to carry... He's obviously involved in something that he feels the need to have a gun.   Hopefully the city officials wake up and start to finally do something about the criminals and low life's in the city that attract this kind of danger.

Hawthorne3 ----it is about drugs and gangs or maybe the Mafia,
If you read the story they walked by the house twice, he had his
gun on him was he expecting someone or something to happen.
Again this a city run by fools who do not believe there are drugs
       and gangs in this city.
where is the Mayor and his cronies hiding again.
...and call a real estate broker to sell ASAP
Notwithstanding the loss of life I think the average home value probably just lost another $10 grand this past week.  Since the Mayor seems to be more of a real estate person than a people person, maybe that will get his attention.

anotherman----It is not safe in Malden---when you have a city
Administration that will not speak out against these crimes and
keep saying we do not have a drug and gang problems is lying
      to the citizens of malden.
The City Council should be out in front of this but again they are
