Parking at the commuter rail lots?

How do you get a permit to park in the commuter rail parking lots in Melrose? Is there a waiting list? What does it cost?

Well, if you don't have a permit you'll be rewarded with a parking ticket!

The monthly permit is $35 and can be purchased at the City Hall parking office or at the coffee shop at the Highlands commuter rail station. The shop is across the street on the corner where the bank is (same shop row as Mother's Pizza). It's recently changed hands so I don't remember the name!

You can pay by check payable to the City. It's a colored cardboard card you put on your dash.

    Otherwise I think it's $3 a day now!

    Good luck
    Ellen

Thanks for the info. YES I have gotten one of those lovely parking tickets - but I was parking for free for over a week so I deserved it I guess.
