    Famous folks from Somerville?

What do you think of our list of celebrities who've said they lived in Somerville?

Does someone not deserve to be on this list because they weren't around long enough?

    Did we forget anyone?

From your selection, I must presume that Somerville folks use a unique and rare definition of "famous".

Really? Wikipedia, <1 minute, and I'm already baffled. You went with Hal Clement instead of Isaac Asimov? Cherilus instead of Howie Long?

Most of these people were pass throughs. There experience with Somerville was more circumstantial or out of necessity. If you look into the history of people that were born or raised in Somerville, or the history behind most of the mansions on Winter Hill, then you may have something.

What a terrible list.  Do you not have Google at the Globe?  How about George Washington, who raised the 1st flag while camped in Somerville?  How about Alex Rocco, Pie Traynor, Alexander Graham Bell, Mike Capuano, Howie Carr, George Plimpton's son,  Paul Wylie, the person who wrote "Mary Had a Little Lamb"?
