Sure, power outages across the state prompted dozens of school districts to cancel school on Monday. But many communities are either delayed, or cancelled trick-or-treating outright.

Worcester and many other communities worried about slippery roads, darkened streets, downed tree limbs and power lines have postponed trick-or-treating until later in the week.

Worcester is asking residents to wait until Thursday, while Auburn and Charlton officials say children can go trick-or-treating Friday.

Lowell and Tyngsborough have pushed Halloween until Sunday.

Chelmsford and Westford have cancelled Halloween, with no makeup dates established.
