As the healing from the tragic events of April 15th continues, here is a chance for you to help support those affected. Join Ben Rudnick & Friends in a family-friendly benefit concert for One Fund Boston at Tico restaurant in Boston, just blocks away from the site of the Marathon finish line. Tico will provide free coffee, tea, and juice. Brunch is available per menu pricing; reservations for brunch are not required but are recommended. Ben Rudnick & Friends will team up with Catching Joy, a non-profit organization that promotes volunteerism with young children and their families, for the first hour of the event. This is part of the band's "Family Works!" initiative, which aims to create events that provide an opportunity for families to help specific charitable organizations in the Boston area. This event hopes to celebrate the vibrant life and strength we have in Boston, and raise money to help the victims. Catching Joy will provide crayons and materials so kids can use their creativity and care to make cards for responders -- police, firefighters, doctors, nurses and all the other helpers who selflessly rushed to help. Monetary donations will be collected and given directly to One Fund Boston. Sat., May 4. Family Works! event, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.; brunch and music from 11 a.m. - noon. All ages. Tico, 222 Berkeley St., Boston. www.benrudnick.com
