WGBH FunFest and Craft Beer Fest, Brighton, July 13

FunFest2013_logo.jpgA day of ice cream and music, followed by an evening of food and beer -- what could be better? For the whole family, the annual WGBH FunFest returns to the WGBH Studios with an afternoon of fun for everyone. Special guests include Clifford the Big Red Dog, Arthur, Curious George, Peep (from Peep and the Big Wide World), WordGirl, and other PBS characters. The main stage will feature music by a number of family-friendly artists. And all afternoon you can indulge your sweet tooth to your heart's content with ice cream provided by JP Licks, Ben & Jerry's, Abbott's Frozen Custard, Friendly's, Batch and b.good shakes. Kids of all ages will also have the chance to participate in WGBH interactive games, face painting and carnival rides. Later, after you've settled the kids in with the babysitter, adults can enjoy some 21+ time at the WGBH Craft Beer Fest, featuring selections from New England's regional breweries, including Boston Beer Works, Slumbrew, Pretty Things and more. Attendees will enjoy live music and have an opportunity to learn from experts
and brewers what goes into brewing the best local beers. Local food trucks will be on hand to keep your stomachs full while you enjoy the beer tastings. Sat., July 14.
