OSV kids free winter.jpgChildren 17 and under are free during winter weekends at Old Sturbridge Village through March 30 when accompanied by one adult paying full-priced, regular admission. Visit with the farmers as they go about their winter chores and lend them a helping hand. See what household life was like and what chores 19th-century children were expected to do. Watch the blacksmith, potter, and tinsmith work. There will also be special performances and winter-themed crafts and, weather permitting, horse-drawn sleigh rides and sledding on old-fashioned sleds. Please note that the offer does not apply to evening events, Discovery Adventures or to educational groups of 10 or more. Other discounts and coupons do not apply. Sat. & Sun. through March 30, 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. 17 & under, free; adults, $24; seniors age 55+, $22. Old Sturbridge Village, One Old Sturbridge Village Rd., Sturbridge. www.osv.org
