Young Adult book festival, Barrington, RI, April 5

Whether you have a teenager who loves to read, or you are a fan of young adult books (hey, who isn't?), the "YA for YA" festival at the Barrington Public Library is an event you won't want to miss. The event Bewitching Season front cover new.jpgfeatures 10 young adult authors: Marissa Doyle, Mark Peter Hughes, Diana Renn, Sarah Fine, Kim Harrington, Susan Carlton, Nandini Bajpai, Brendan Halpin, Page Morgan and Erin Cashman. The festival begins with a meet and greet, where the authors will introduce themselves and their books, followed by two panel discussions: "Relatively Realistic" and "Positively Paranormal." The festival culminates in a book signing (books will be available for purchase or you can bring your own) and more opportunity to interact with the authors. There will also be a book swap -- bring two old books and get a new one. You can also bring books to donate to a library or school in need. The festival is open to the public. Saturday, April 5, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Free. Barrington Public Library, 281 County Rd., Barrington, RI.
