Who: Kathy, with sons Shay, 6, and Jackson, 10 and daughter Mackenzie, 3.

Home: Haverhill

Location of the photo: Boston Common

Ideas for family fun:
— Ride the MBTA into the city. "We parked at Wonderland for $5 and then hopped on the Blue Line. The kids love the train, and since they're under 11, they ride for free."
— Pack a picnic, hang out in the Boston Common and then ride the Swan Boats.
— Take a Boston Duck Tour around the city. "The boys love that — the drivers are so entertaining!"
