Sitting pretty in an on-the-go high chair
While traveling on my own with my 10-month-old, I could strap the Sit Seat to any tall, kitchen-style chair and turn it into a high chair. I could also attach this lightweight travel seat to myself or to the empty seat next to me on the plane to secure my squirmy baby during takeoffs and landings — and to free up my hands. The Sit Seat, made by One Step Ahead, has three sets of straps that enable you to fasten it to a chair and then secure baby around the waist and shoulders. It also has a no-slip bottom and packs into its attached stuff sack. The seat works for children 5 months and older, or up to 37 pounds, and can be machine washed. It sells for $29.95 at One Step Ahead (800-274-8440; www.onestepahead.com).
