Your park & playground picks
Sherman Street, Cambridge
Why you like it: "It's great for a quick afternoon trip or even for gatherings. I've held a family picnic here for my Girl Scout troop the last two summers and it has worked out wonderfully." — mlissa82
What you'll find there: "The really interesting thing about the park is that years ago it was a former city landfill, and now its one of our largest outdoor areas," says Cambridge spokesman Ini Tomeu. The 50-acre space features three artificial soccer fields - two full-sized and one youth-sized - a 400-meter running track, and three small playgrounds called "tot lots."
