The 6.5 acre park has 2,000 feet of waterfront and 16 different species of trees, according to Lisa Langone, media relations manager at Massport. Along with a 24,000-square-foot playground with swings, slides, and a 2,000-square-foot spray fountain area, it has 28 picnic tables. Piers also hosts annual community events like Eastie Pride Day and The Colombian Festival.
