Why you like it: "As far as parks go, we often go to Hollis Playground in Braintree. They have equipment for both little kids and bigger kids, plenty of swings, and picnic tables. It is clean and has plenty of parking. — Greekmom2005
What you'll find there: The property dates back to the 1920s, and it shows, says Bill Hedlund, of Braintree's Parks & Recreation Department, noting some of the sports fields are a little shabby. Still, the playground is popular, with slides, a sunshade, a sandbox and swings, including one that is wheelchair accessible.
