Kennel Club: Americans still love labs the most

NEW YORK—The American Kennel Club says the Labrador Retriever is the most popular dog in America for the 21st straight year.
According to the AKC top 10 list released Tuesday, the German Shepherd has steadfastly held onto its No. 2 spot.
The Beagle has nosed into third place. AKC spokeswoman Lisa Peterson says the "spunky breed" wins hearts with its "merry personality."
The rest of the pack: Golden Retriever, Yorkshire Terrier, Bulldog, Boxer, Poodle, Dachshund and Rottweiler.![]()
