Best bodyguard ever or a danger to people?

That's the debate going on over the dog in this viral video. He's being protective of a woman's pregnant belly. Every time a man goes to touch the woman's belly, the dog interferes by barking, growling, and nipping at him.

"Baby’s got his own protector," says the man holding the camera.

Opposingviews.com is calling the video "sidesplitting" and pawnation.com is calling the dog a "loyal bodyguard."

But not everyone thinks so.

"It's very disturbing to see a dog react in such an extreme manner to a human being who he should know making such an innocuous gesture," writes Chris Hall at dogster.com.

Posters on pawnation.com are divided.

"This is not cute or funny!" writes flameangelgirl23. "This is a behavior that could become a potentially serious problem. The sooner they get professional help to address it, the better for everyone involved."

"One of the BEST DOGS EVER! Good boy!" writes Anne Boleyns Crown.

"What if this were your 5 year old daughter only going to give her aunt a hug?" writes Ray.

What do you think? Is the dog protective or dangerous?
