Lightning over Corporation Beach
Lightning over Corporation Beach

I'm telling you, these beaches in Dennis on the north side are something else ... Corporation Beach is popular with families, although after seeing this contest entry, I'd pack a lightning rod in my picnic basket. This photographer caught four lightning strikes over Cape Cod Bay during this 20-second exposure while bottom left, a devil-may-care group enjoyed a bonfire on the beach.

So now it's your turn. If you haven't entered our August contest -- one photo that fits the theme "At the beach" -- now's the time. Check out the rules carefully here and then send in a picture.

All of you will vote for the winners from Sept. 5 through the 14th. We're posting the entries, several a day, on RAW so that you can start taking note of the photos you like so you're ready when the Voting Machine opens. You can see the entries that we have posted so far here.
