Time to close the foliage gallery, but I'll keep posting the photos that have already arrived. Make sure you try out the "Full-screen" link next to the title (and hit "Esc" on your keyboard to return to regular size).

Takes like 30 seconds to load in IE (using my work's T1 line in downtown Boston), wouldn't load at all in Firefox 3.0.3 or Chrome. Why use something so huge and heavy for a simple photo slideshow? What ever happened to separate pages or some nice javascript magic? Something lightweight, please!
In other news, I just stumbled on this section of Boston.com and I'm psyched to read about local photographers.

Hey John Doe, was that necessary? "Great... Very Nice. ahhhhh... oohhh.. Wow. not in focus... oooohhhhh, ahhhhhh, I need a light meter... very nice" It sounds a little harsh - these are amateur photographers, after all. I don't own a light meter, I take pictures on the fly with my normal camera. I think a lot of these are really lovely. Sure, they're not NatGeo material, but they're not supposed to be.

When viewing thumbnails, I feel like I'm not able to see all of them. Some seem to dip down below the border.

It's summer, so let's tackle water. But not just any water shots; let's get water moving, gurgling, splashing, spraying, and yes, rippling. In other words, water in motion. As usual, we're looking for creativity and good composition; we'll also look favorably on the effective use of light on water, but it's not a requirement. Deadline: Midnight July 31
John became hooked on wildlife photography early on; if something has fur, feathers, or scales, he'll photograph it. But not disturbing animals in their native habitat is far more important to him than capturing an image.
Globe Assistant Chief Photographer Ted Gartland says RAW reader Derek Brown's portfolio shows he's open to trying things and isn't a convention follower.
Awesome Teresa...just awesome. Works beautifully!! Keep up the great work!
