The next meeting of the new Photographic Society of Cape Cod will be held this Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod in South Yarmouth. (Directions below)

Robert Nash, well-known professional photographer, will present a workshop on Still Life Photography. Robert was the past owner and president of Nash Studio Inc. in Worcester, and he has been creating award-winning photography for more than 30 years.

He has worked for many Fortune 500 companies, leading national consumer firms, and some of the top design agencies in the Greater Boston and Metro West areas. Robert has many professional clients, including Boston Scientific, Sheraton Hotels, Dunkin' Donuts, EMC, Timberland, and Rockport. At present, Robert is the executive director of the Cultural Center.

He did advertising and product photography for many years; at the meeting, he will demonstrate how to set up still-life photographic subjects and lighting in order to obtain professional results.

All local amateur and professional photographers are welcome to attend this meeting as guests of the society.

The society meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, 307 Old Main St., South Yarmouth. (Old Main Street intersects with Route 28 at the traffic lights at the Bass River Bridge in South Yarmouth. You can find more detailed directions here.)
