May contest update

Posted by Teresa Hanafin, Boston.com Staff June 9, 2009 03:58 PM

We've chosen a judge for the May Flowers contest, and we've posted all the eligible photos in one of the six galleries you can find linked on the first frame of our "slider" above. If you don't see your photo in any of the galleries, and you think it's eligible, please send an e-mail right away to raw@boston.com and we'll check it out for you.

Meanwhile, our judge this month is Globe staff photographer Pat Greenhouse, who wrote a tipsheet on shooting flowers for us last year.

NOVEMBER'S THEME Silhouettes

Convey emotion, set a mood, or create an air of mystery ... silhouettes can convey a lot in a handful of pixels. It's a challenging theme; position your subject in front of a light source, and expose for the light. One rule: Your photo must be taken this month.
Deadline: Midnight November 30
