Folks, I can't apologize enough for this delay. I honestly don't know what's going on ... I haven't heard a word from the judge since she told me almost a week ago that she would send me her Top 10 choices that day or the next. I hope that everything is all right with her.

If I don't hear from her by the time I get into work Monday morning, I'll ask one of the Globe photographers or editors to make the final choices. I'll also post a note to that effect in the Gigabytes section so everyone can see.

Meanwhile -- a reminder that Monday is the last day for the November Silhouettes contest, so make sure your photo is tagged correctly and showing up in Flickr's search:
http://www.flickr.com/search/?z=e&w=all&q=boston.com+contest+november2009+silhouettes&m=tags

If your photo isn't there, PLEASE re-read the rules and make sure all of your tags and settings are correct, especially those on this page:
http://www.flickr.com/account/prefs/optout/

All 3 boxes should be UNchecked.

I do spend an inordinate amount of time each month helping photographers who simply haven't read the instructions carefully, so please do. I'd appreciate it.

Somebody asked if I could post the photos that haven't shown up on a search of the tags ... I can't, because I don't know what those photos are and where they are on Flickr.

Also Monday I'll announce the theme for the December contest ... it should be fun.

Again, thanks for your patience, and my apologies.

  1. Hmmmmmm. Perhaps the first worry should have come when "feeling" trumped technique. Good photography combines both!
