Colorful, creative, hilarious, and yes, even downright scary -- that's a fair summary of the photos submitted so far in the December "Toys" contest.

Don't see your photo? First review the guidelines in detail; your tags may be wrong, or your account may be hidden from Flickr's search. If you still can't figure it out, write to me at raw@boston.com.

If you haven't entered yet, here are the details. The most notable criteria is that your photo must be taken this month.

Meanwhile, don't forget to upload your single Best Photo of 2009 to this special gallery.

I didn't upload my picture until the 30th. Will it still make the contest? I don't see it in the gallery.

Elizabeth, we haven't posted all the photos in our gallery yet. However, you should check the Flickr tag search results, which is how we find the contest entries.

If it's not among these search results, send a link to your photo on Flickr to raw@boston.com and I'll check it out.
