Meet the February 'Portraits' judge

I'm very happy to announce that the judge for our February contest, with the theme "Loving Portraits", is Globe staff photographer Suzanne Kreiter.

Just look over a sample of images she has taken during her nearly 25-year career at the Globe, and you'll see that her artistic eye makes her a perfect choice to evaluate your Loving Portraits.

I'll ask Suzanne to start judging later this week after we've waited a few days for everybody to make sure their February entries made it into the contest. Search the contest tags on Flickr, or just use the link below to check for your entry.

NOTE: One thing I noticed right off the bat is that some of you used "portrait" as your fourth tag instead of "portraits" with an S. Please check yours and add an S if necessary. Thanks.

If you don't see your photo, please check:

1. The tags: Make sure you have 4 separate tags (boston.com, contest, february2010, portraits).

2. Your Flickr search settings: Make sure all the boxes are UNchecked on this page.

3. Your privacy settings: Make sure your photos are visible.

After you have checked everything, if you still don't see your photo, send a note with a link to your photo in Flickr to raw@boston.com and I'll check it out for you.

We have already built 2 full-screen galleries to showcase your work; I'll post those as soon as I finish reviewing them. Later today I'll also post the March theme (sorry, but I overslept this month).
