If there's a new baby in your family, or one on her or his way, you may want to think about how to record that all-too-brief period of the infant's life in photos.
A co-worker who just had a baby shared a couple of links on Facebook of baby photo projects she's thinking of emulating. They are quite impressive:
The Virginia couple who write the Young House Love blog recently posted an entry that details how they are taking a weekly photo of their baby.
The video is quite detailed, with the father explaining lighting and setting the white balance on his Nikon D3000, as is their explanation of how they get the numbered week on their baby's onesie using Photoshop.
In the other project, a mother in Helsinki is using her maternity leave to take photos of her infant from above while she is sleeping, pretending the baby is dreaming by setting up scenes around her using material, stuffed animals, rugs, books, an umbrella ... the scenes are amazingly creative (it helps that the mother is a concept designer!).
Her blog is called Mila's Daydreams.
Have you undertaken a regular photo project of photographing a baby, a child, or an adult regularly over a period of time? Do you know of other such projects? Please tell us about them below and post any links you have.
