Professional weather photographer Jim Reed looked for storm weather photos that trigger an emotional response; possess a skillfully-composed subject; demonstrated a skilled choice of lighting, contrast, and color; contained an intriguing shape or hypnotic landscape; had good depth and texture, and were strong, stormy images that also possessed motion. Not every photo had every element, but these 25 came closest.
