There are thousands of locations around the world that are iconic places to visit not just for the experience, but also to capture an image by which to remember your journey.

And if you're a photographer, you'll challenge yourself to take that image from a different and interesting perspective.

This month, we're interested in seeing your take on famous places around New England, the United States, or the world that are popular destinations for photographers.

Have you ever shot the Eiffel Tower from below?

Interesting views of the Zakim Bridge in Boston, stunning landscapes from Acadia National Park in Maine, dramatic vistas of the Great Wall of China, colorful photos of San Francisco houses or cable cars ... show us your view of the most famous places on earth.

RULES

Your photo does NOT have to be taken this month. Comb through your archives, or shoot something fresh locally; go visit the Bunker Hill Monument or Louisa May Alcott's House or the Berkshires.

One photo per photographer.

The deadline is midnight Sunday, Dec. 4 (to give you time to recover from Thanksgiving).

Here are the complete contest rules.

An essay about Rebirth Workshops
