Wouldn't it be cool to see photographs projected on the sides of iconic buildings and skyscrapers in downtown Boston?
That's the dream of some local photographers and visual artists who are working to put together a festival next fall that would use buildings and huge projectors to highlight some of the best local photography.
The projections aren't the only part of the festival being planned by Photo Nights Boston, a nonprofit. Organizers also envision a photo competition, with photo pros judging the projected works in a variety of categories. They believe the event will capitalize on Boston's increasing reputation as a creative city and a compelling public art destination.
