Picture perfect

‘‘It is the perfect architectural shot.’’ Not bad praise from professional photographer Bruno Debas, the judge of RAW’s recent "Architecture" contest. He liked this first-place photo of the Paramount Theater in Boston by Jeff Tamagini of Boston because ‘‘it shows the building very well and has a very nice feel in terms of how the photographer used colors that are a bit saturated, but not too much. I also love the fact that the more you look at it, the more you can discover.’’ This is a nine-exposure HDR (high dynamic range) image shot with a 17mm lens at f/8 and ISO 100.
