OK, so Earl has fascinated me this week. I checked back over our 26 previous themes and we've done only two that were weather-related: Cold and April showers. Those were great photos, but not all of them were necessarily dramatic -- and that's exactly what I'm looking for this month: Drama, movement, action.

One other caveat: No snow or ice pictures. I want spring, summer, or fall storms, with torrential rain, frightening lightning, ominous clouds, and windy wind (HA!). Winter will be visiting soon enough!

Your photo does NOT have to be taken this month.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: We are trying a new upload tool that one of our developers built. So no Flickr this month, and no contest tags. Just upload your ONE contest photo to the gallery linked below, and you're all set.

Please enter all of your information; for judging purposes we will not display your name and town until we get down to the Top 10.

Unfortunately, you cannot change your photo yourself if you change your mind and want to enter a different photo. Just upload the new one and put a note in all caps in the caption field telling us to remove the other one (and include the title so we can find it quickly).

If you run into any other trouble, just write to us at raw@boston.com.
