Christophanie Julien was forced to grow up fast. The only child of a single mother, she became a young caregiver when her mom was diagnosed with kidney disease and put on dialysis. At age 9, Christophanie would be running to the neighborhood store in Roxbury to pick up medications for her mother. She learned how to cook and clean house. (Full article: 896 words)
