The whole Alewife area is a planning disaster. A huge highway dumps far too many cars into a dense urban area, exacerbated by the huge parking garage at Alewife Station. The Red Line should extend fur more »

The big question is when does a casino draw the most traffic? If it's during rush hours, then that could be a very bad thing. But if it's off peak then there is unused roadway capacity and it should b more »

There was a study done recently that showed that people will set up their lives for a 30 minute commute on average, which this data seems to agree with. People will choose where to live and/or work ba more »

I think you are mistaken about Essex St. There are no bus stops along the stretch where the bus lane is on the left. However, if you have been out there, you'll know that a lot of non-buses like to dr more »

Mobile apps may help the parking situation a little bit, but that's assuming that the problem is simply that there are open spaces somewhere that people simply can't find. That may be the case in some more »

None of this would be an issue if corporations weren't in the business of providing healthcare for their employees in the first place. I've never fully understood why this is the case anyway. Insuranc more »

I'd also like to know when people leave. It seems like a lot of people leave right at 5 even though they all came in at different times. And why is the afternoon rush hour so much worse than the morni more »

Yes, can we PLEASE get a train from Boston to Springfield and points west that runs more than once per day?! This could potentially take a lot of traffic off the Pike, myself included.
