All well and good, Chad, but what about JBJ? I think we should try to shop him in a serious fashion and recover some value. I don't think he wants to be in Boston.

I don't know how anyone can seriously think that Ryan Dempster should or could return to the Red Sox.

In response to RedSoxKimmi's comment: I don't understand why some fans relish the idea of being correct in their predictions of failure. I'm never giving up hope, just so I don't have to join Andrew's more »

C'est la vie. This year was supposed to happen last year and last year wasn't supposed to happen at all. Sorry to disappoint, but from my perspective, the glass is more than half full. It was a fun r more »

Such a bad idea. The game is the lesser for it.

I think this was MLB cashing Tito's chit. Tito was hosed - twice - for MOTY and this was just catch-up. Sure Farrell deserved it, but - yeah -Tito needed props and those Toronto guys have long memorie more »

Nice for John Farrell, no grudges, but Tito was hosed more than once on MOTY - like 2004 - and I would not be disappointed if he got it this time around. He did a nice job in Cleveland. Just saying.

Joe West's close calls at the plate - about 50% accurate - had both teams flummoxed. Sox pitching held a potent Tiger's lineup to just one run, but Sox let themselves get thrown. Game should have ha more »

Yeah, Carl. This series is just one huge grudge match staged for your benefit. Thanks for volunteering to give back all that money to the Red Sox because you never did anything to deserve it. Say what more »

Quality teams will take a loss like this and shake it off, get back to the park in a good mood and get to work on a new winning streak. This is a test of talent, of course, but also a test of characte more »

I am one of the few who is not calling for the return of Papelbon. Just saying. I can do without the manufactured drama in a closer.

Sounds to me like the Blue Jays' broadcasters are trying to explain away the fact that their team sucks so far this year. And they aren't doing a very good job of it. "Hey, let's blame this Buchholz more »

Julian - I may not be the first to write this, but the Red Sox have not won their first four series. They lost the first series at Fenway to the Orioles, one game to two.
