whisk3rs - The difference is that if an automobile driver is aggressive towards a cyclist, the cyclist's life is on the line. This is not true in 99% of the situations when the roles are reversed.

The indifference that a person's life was lost because they had happened to be riding a bike in the city and were hit by a motor vehicle is really bothersome.
