He won't ever get to see the light of day. With Rondo manning the point Smart won't get but about 15 minutes per game. If Ainge felt that Vonleh was too raw he should have gone with McBuggets.

I have read that Vonleh is still growing plus he has a wingspan of something like 10'!
Posted 07/14/2014 11:22:58 EDT
I think that Ainge may have out thought himself. There were a bunch of experts and many on this board that wanted Vonleh, including myself. Smart is a heckuva player but we already have a point guar more »

Just saw that Vonleh had 18 rebounds. I think that we could use a guy like that to man the middle!

I worry about this too. Vonleh and Early would have been better for Boston' s needs.
Posted 07/13/2014 11:02:31 EDT
Dang, well that's it. One bad preseason game he might as well call it quits. His career is over.
Posted 07/13/2014 09:41:28 EDT
I still think that Ainge messed up by not drafting Vonleh. Drafting Smart was redundant. That's why I am not optimistic about this team.

Hibbert is shot. He defines fragile. He may be worth trading a 2nd rounder. Max deal? No fri gin way. Which means that Danny Ainge will probably trade a few of the Celtics number 1's and give him a more »

I am really disappointed in the "rebuild" so far. The Celtics have two picks in a very deep draft and pick up two guys that play the same positions where Boston is already set (sorta). So I am thinkin more »

Very good player. However, I don't believe that Danny Ainge cares much for having a frontline perhaps because he was a guard. ..

Green was born to be a sub. He is not all-star material. He doesn't have the heart for it. I don't even know why he is in the association. He doesn't seem to care about how well he does. When a guy more »

If AB and Rondo are not traded then I would have to say that this draft was a waste. It just doesn't make sense to draft a franchise PG when you already have one. There has to be a trade.

5's are not as important as they once were, though you do need one. That 4 is critical and all Boston has is Jeff Green. I would give up Green for Cleanthony Early in a heart beat!
