    Shields 7 out of last 8 seasons

    Lester 6 out of last 7

    Scherzer 4 out of last 6

    I have said I would prefer Scherzer to Shields, but the extra money and years will be costly. Since 2011, Scherzer only has a slight lead on Shields in... WAR 19.1 to 16.5 (about 0.65 per year) SIERA more »

    I think your missing my greater point...the Sox don't need another 200 inning guy they need a staff leader...I agree that adding Shields would improve the rotation and the teams depth. It doesn't Imho more »
