Good thing he can play football.

No comment on the ridiculous number of penalties! This has got to be fixed. Penalties alone killed at least 3 drives.

Gross overreaction to a win. Seahawks will not repeat and will fade next year as salary cap issues mess with Petey's team.

Wonder what this does to the pitching staff for next year? 4 starters are gone with Lester, Lackey, Peavy and Dubront. No front of the line starter is left. Buckholz? Hardly. Lot's of great arms comin more »

With all the arms the Sox have in the minors they can afford to let Lester go. He will be good for 2 more years and then watch out. Whoever pays him will grossly overpay for years 3 and over. more »

Chad you got the Buffalo move exactly wrong. I love Watkins. Saw him play at Clemson a bunch of times. But Buffalo is about 8 good players away from just making the playoffs, not one huge piece. They more »

Personally I think they will trade down if they get a second and perhaps fourth rounder. With such a deep draft they would do well to stock up in rounds 2-4. more »

Not a bad look but where is everything? Like where do I find the standings under the Red Sox tab for example? They used to be right there and now I have no idea. more »

I'm with you on all of these except the NBA Draft Lottery. The Celtics have been screwed by the worst draft mechanism in all of sports at least twice. Once in 1997 when it should have been the Celtics more »

Yes and Babe Ruth was a pitcher but that was a long time ago. It's kind of like making Tom Brady play safety. Just plain stubbornness and stupidity.

Totally ridiculous that a pitcher gets a "silver slugger." How about calling it the "less strikeouts" award!

Been an avid Boston sports fan since the late 1960's and I still do not know how this team of mis-fits won the World Series. Maybe baseball actually is a team sport??? This is as unexpected as the 200 more »

I really don't like that "auto-out" Drew is still in there. Also Nava should get the start against righty Wacha.
Posted 10/28/2013 03:05:41 EDT
I'd like to see Middlebrooks get a start vs. "free out" Drew. With the "f-ing" National League rules that makes the bottom 3 in our lineup very weak.

Josh McDaniels needs to be fired! The offense was crap until Ridley got in there.

Farrell is not a good in-game manager. Many issues. Not doing the double switch, sticking with Drew far too long, not batting Napoli for Workman, not pulling pitchers fast enough or too fast in the ca more »

By the way the salary argument is complete BS. Oakland gets away with one of the lowest payrolls and they have the DH.

Really think they should consider starting Doubront. St. Louis has been terrible against lefties. maybe see how Lester does and then reconsider.

Offer him $15M per for 5 years. If he doesn't agree then let someone else overpay.
