He seems to have the physical tools but that's only part of what he'll need to make it.  For a guy a few months into his NFL career (and who has done nothing of note professionally) we've heard way more »

I get the sense that Thompkins could put up a 75 catch year and some will still be underwhelmed.  The kid has talent and will do well, and I find it even more comforting that he seems to have the co more »

I expect that the young WRs will show well for themselves this year.  Baptism by fire and a full offseason should ensure that we see continued growth.

It's a tough game with lots of injuries.  Lots of guys with talent and promise cannot overcome physical challenges.  I guarantee the least tough NFL player would amaze some of the posters on this boar more »

Sure, but, while I have no idea what the braintrust's plan actually is, I would be willing to bet a lot of money that the plan is indeed "Cespedes: extend him or trade him" ... I can buy that, but if more »

    The board isn't that bad.

Eh, in my opinion it is, and I'm sure I'm not alone.  But to keep to my own advice of not contributing to the drama, I've said all I intend to say.

I don't really understand the trade either.  If Cespy was 24 and cost-controlled he'd be a nice trade piece.  Instead he's pushing 30 and due to hit FA - and the Sox aren't going to overpay him based more »
