In response to JohnnyLefty's comment: Ughhh.... 5 years 90 Million for a injury plagued 31 year old infielder that doesn't have a true position because his defense is awful. Yeah GREAT signing... Thi more »

2. Jon Lester, LHP Prediction: Cubs â six years, $140 million This is more obvious than the Scherzer projection, given Lesterâs connection with his former Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein. 3. more »

Middy is going to improve his game by osmosis ths winter.

Any deal that begins with Betts is a deal I probably dont like, particularly for pitching.

Just curios as to what your thoughts are with giving Cecchini as shot at 3rd for next year? How much more would Sandoval or Valbuena give the Sox for the cost difference? Also has anybody heard who more »

Run producers at the top of the order are invaluable. I dont they move Betts. I think they sign a pitcher and aquire Sandoval more likely. I think Cespedes more likely to move than Betts if anythin more »

It would be foolish to trade Betts. Guys who can make things happen at the top of the order are hard to find. Also I dont trust Holt to repeat this years performance.

I dont care where he plays, just want the leadoff spot solved for a decade. Really hoping he is the guy because Bogey and Middy gave us false starts, so taking a wait and see approach.

Middy makes Dave Kingman look like Rod Carew.

It sure doesnt look like he has a future here with the Castillo signing. I got a feeling he ends up a 250-270 hitter and perenial gold glover. As I recall Dewy Evans couldnt hit water from a boat whe more »

Bobby V wasnt coming off a WS win. It buys a season of good will. Besides, Farrell isnt the guy who cant hit WRISP

I dont think I would pay him what he can probably get. I would not mind flipping him for a nice piece. I think he is average to below in a lot of areas.
Posted 08/13/2014 12:06:13 EDT
You think the Rocks would take Middy and and his 180 average for him.
Posted 08/10/2014 07:33:33 EDT
If it happens for him, it wont be in Boston.
Posted 08/05/2014 11:41:45 EDT
Middy sure looks like a AAAA hitter to me.

FWIW Twitter has sources reporting the Dodger sand Red Sox have swapped medical records on mltiple players.

I wouldnt call it chocking. I just think the team is playing up to their abilities. Meaning they are not very good.

Making a mad dash for the mendoza line. Starting to look like the right handed version of JBJ.

While he is an upgrade over what they are trotting out there, he gets injured too much for my taste and will make 20 mill per the next 5 years. If it was the 2012 version I'd be all for it.

Workman needs to stick around a while, not sure why he started the year in the minors.
