PC needs to move Lucic to get Hall. Too bad he covets Fat more than almost any other NHL GM even Craig MacTavish.

Believe it or not but any flames in these board have absolutely no influence on how well the Bruins play. And a bit of venting isn't the end of the world. Still, its only game 30. But 2 points above . more »

Clearly Chia is seeing how far the Bruins are sliding and doesn't want all the losses to infect a boy who might one day save the franchise from what we are seeing now.

Far too early to be making predictions about the play offs just yet. But still, a whole lotta denial from this board's regulars about how far the Bruins are sliding right now. With or without Krejci.
Posted 12/13/2014 10:28:20 EST
A trade is needed now but I can't see PC making any move until Krecji is back for awhile.
Posted 12/05/2014 04:04:43 EST
No doubt the Bs miss Krejci and Chara but I don't see their return as any silver bullet to the top of the standings considering how the Bruins struggled with them at the beginning of the season. Too m more »

I love the way Lucic plays but his $6M a year is joke for what he's bringing to the table. I wouldn't be surprised if he's dealt as PC continues to try to correct the errors of past contracts.

Really hope Looch finally makes good on that promise he made to Weise back in May.

Can't believe folk are still crying about the 'loss' of Seguin. We all know about his behaviour and unwillingness to mend his ways but when you consider that his salary was jumping from $900,000 in 20 more »

Seguin was the antithesis of Bruins hockey. I'm glad he's gone.

PC will do nothing.

No need for a deal just yet. Marchand just needs to get started this season. Fat too.
Posted 10/16/2014 02:58:47 EDT
I'll go out on a limb and say the Bruins will take this tonight.

Given Boychuk's age, salary and regular season stats I can understand Chia's reasoning here.
Still don't like it though.

Need to go back to the older days to find good hockey writers. Red Fisher and Frank Orr come to mind.
Posted 09/17/2014 02:15:43 EDT
I feel for these two. Sure options aren't great but because of the cap situation their treatment from the Bs can look a bit like an afterthought.

Kelly is dealt for 'future considerations'.
Hello cap space.

You never know but I don't think this will pan out into anything. Bs sure need some tweaking but it looks like it could be more band aid solutions.

Nice number on Rask's back. Classy.

Loui has had a +30 goal season before and three seasons in the high 20s. He should put up better numbers in 14-15. As for PC, I think he's done enough already. Its the players who need to up their gam more »

Comes down to whether Iginla wants another crack at the cup or just more money. Seems like he will opt for the latter. And considering how he 'chose' to go to the Penguins no one should really be all more »

If Iginla goes I bet PC won't trade/sign anyone to replace him. They'll likely just plug the holes during the regular season with what they've got and then try to pick someone up by the trade deadlin more »

Nope. Defensive liability as last year's -16 shows. Pass.

I hope Markov is looking Lucic right in the eye when Fat flattens him right through the boards next season.
