I'm all for taking on 1) expiring contract for modest pick. This adds pick(s) obviously, but also "extends" the value of the tpe using cap holds and the option of sign and trades.2) taking on potenti more »

The problem isn't the per year dollars. The sox will always be competitive in that area i think. It is the guaranteed years they choke on. 7 years is too long to commit 30m/year on for a pitcher, w more »

your right...my bad. For some reason I had 60 mins in my head. My point is they make it work for a year or two and get max value for sully or oly.

So let me get this straight. The first half was the "illegal" balls, and the second half ones were "legal" Why would the pats want the first half balls where they only scored 17 when the second half more »

Is it a fact that the pats balls started out the process at the middle of the range? Isn't it plausible that they started out as close to the low end of the range as they could, at room temperature, more »

Sully and Oly are more then fine for now. Add a big for the 5 and you have a solid 3 man primary rotation, going small when sully and oly are in there. Something like 35 mins for sully, 35 mins for more »

8-10 is his worth to me. My bigger problem is he isn't good enough to fill that SF spot on this team in the future. We need the SF to be a 20, 5, 5 guy, unless we turnover the SG or PF spot entirely more »

If he can't consistently score 15 pts on that team then he can't be our answer. I know they are loaded, but 11.5/game isn't worth 10m+. I like his rebounding though. With turner and green with sull more »

They are obviously goping the subtract to get better in the future route. That's fine. I'm ok with that. The trick to me isn't to pick where they fall route, but rather use some of those dozens of more »

Maybe a McGee from Denver for Wallace ans a pick or two...or Pekovic from Minn with the rondo exception plus 2 #1 picks...Maybe their #1 back plus another....something like that. McGee and Wallace co more »

Looks like Wallace is the only "non-youth" player left on the roster after this year. I'd love to make it a clean sweep and move him, even if it cost us a few draft pick assets(seconds at this point) more »

I wish wallace could go away this year without a cap charge next year. With Bass expiring and nelson now gone Wallace is really the last non-young star taking up cap. Bradley, sully, etc are decent more »

i see them with 12 in the staff, hence the (5) 200 inning starters. bench will be hanigan, holt, nava, craig, vic/betts. Oops. they still have to trade one of these guys or betts starts in AAA.

i hope they start packaging these picks to move up and take the RIGHT players.
We dont need 30 players in the next 4 years, we need the right 2-3

Craig plus _______ for matusz is certainly possible.

In response to cole-ely's comment: You trade off veteran plays so you don't have to try to lose. It just happens. As long as you get a net positive long term advantage, be it cap space or players or more »

Treating buch as a wild card is a good plan. He shouldn't be your ace, but he could be a 2, or on the DL, or everywhere in between. A hamels for Kelly or Miley trade is probably a good idea, but it more »
