I think it just comes down to him wanting out. Who really knows the reason why? Instead of just requesting a trade and possibly look like the bad guy, he holds them up for ransom requesting what he r more »

Marchand is at a 4.5 cap hit for two more seasons.

In response to Not-A-Shot's comment:
Nice. Another thread turned into talk about Seguin.
It's no wonder everyone left.

Wonder what it would take to move into the 3 spot to grab Hanifin. Hamilton and Hanifin would set the team up nicely for the future.

Players B's could target not named Kessel. Again thinking along the lines of bringing in a reliable, hungry to win vet on the short term similar to the way Recchi was brought in the fold (and extende more »

I say let Pastrnak show you if he is the guy to carry the offensive load. We act like this team has no offensive talent at all. Just 24 months ago the Bruins were the 3rd best offensive team in the more »

Would rather have a guy who scores 10 less than Kessel but plays hard at both ends of the ice. With all the stories about him not interested in getting in real shape and putting in the hard work, do more »

Kessel back to Boston? I would rather not. I think the Leafs have over valued Phil (8 mil cap hit for 7 more years - yikes!!!) and continue to over value him today in terms of what they think his va more »

He might not be a "game breaker" but not sure what that really means. Prolific goal scorer? Ok. Seguin was the last of those I guess. But he found himself put on the 3rd line come playoff time and more »

Marco: You mention that TBay and Chicago do not have a player like Lucic. I agree totally. Just scanned the rosters real quick and again, I challenge you to name a single player that brings the pac more »

In response to marxo--08--'s comment: Misterpaulo, neely was more valuable on the ice since he became a bruin. He was a unique offensive force. ..lucic isn't . Neely carried the team ....lucic doesn't more »

Let him play his last year out then see where you are at. With Krejci at 7.2 and Bergeron at 6.8, there is no way Lucic can expect a contract with a cap hit higher then Bergeron IMO. If he does, the more »

Still think Seids will rebound to form. It might only be for 2-3 more years but he's only 33 and I think he will be more comfortable with the knee than last year. I expect to look at his contract ag more »

I'm thinking Hamiltons contract demands could possibly put the writing on the wall for Krug. Wouldn't be surprised to see him dealt at the draft.

With Soderberg gone, Spooner is being mentioned as his replacement as 3rd line C. Skill wise it might be a wash but Sodes was only counting for just over 1 mill on the books. How much cap space does more »

If traded, can't imagine it's within the East. So if looking at a deal with a Western team...St. Louis has some interesting trade options and they just might be motivated to shake things up.
