donaldson is an interesting option, but the problem is that the FO wants to add a left handed bat, maybe even 2 to balance out the line up. Donaldson unfortunately is right handed, but his talent coul more »

as many reports have stated, lester selling his house was something he planned on doing regaurdless of him signing with the sox or not. he bought a new house in atlanta where he plans to live during t more »

I think the case can be made that we need 3 starters. Think about our team last year and entering this year, we had lester, lackey and peavy as our top 3, then buchholz and a slew of #5's. So going in more »

I do think peter abrhams pretty spot on in terms of the line up with the exception of craig starting over mookie. I think the sox would be hard pressed to deal mookie. He has settled in nicely into th more »

If we really wanna contend next year and make a run, we need 3 quality pitchers. We also need a 3B (sandoval) and need to figure out RF. I dont see vic starting next year, craig has shown nothing that more »

i think sandoval makes sense, its pretty clear middlebrooks is not going to be the 3B next year. Apparently the sox FO has wanted sandoval for years, so maybe now is their chance to get him. He has be more »

i think its worth paying the $25mill to negotiate with him and see what he wants, what i wouldnt do however is count on him to be more than the #3 starter next year. As of right now, the only guy who more »

so how many more times doesn brandon workman have to get rocked before the sox fo realizes he is not an mlb quality starter? Hes a reliever, nothing more. Put him where he belongs. He just doesnt have more »

seriously? workman? Is this a joke? how many times the guy have to get knocked around before they realize he should be in the pen? This is getting ridiculous.

i think its time to give up on him. He just doesn’t seem to be able to get going. He showed a few flashes of the old middlebrooks here and there, but nothing consistently. Maybe its time to call up more »

honestly the more I think about it, the more I think the sox really messed up by not trading koji at the deadline. He is really getting there in age, is a free agent, and has started to show signs of more »

Ya i think johnson tends to fly under the radar even though he has been great this year. He should be in pawtucket right now, not sure why he is in AA at this point, nothing left to prove there.

i think its safe to say we won that trade. Agonz has been good, which was expected. Beckett had some good starts for the dodgers this year but has mostly been useless and crawford is just terrible. We more »

honestly at this point cherington would probably do a better job than farrell as bench manager. Farrell lost all credibility and continues to do so by playing the likes of holt and nava during a lost more »

The problem wasn’t so much clay as it was brock holt. Holts lack of defensive abilities cost buchholz the win.  We had one out and a runner on, and holt for some reason ran right into pedroias field more »

I think vasquez would have to be the one to deal of the two. Swihart is a switch hitting, defensively sound catcher with a really good arm. Check out his caught stealing %, current at 47% this year. B more »

So I think its safe to say that webster should be on his way down to pawtucket after this one. Call up ranuado and keep him up, then call up barnes or johnson for the other spot. Neither workman or we more »

i could agree more, workman just gets rocked every time out now. Its getting to the point where farrell and co need to wake up and move the guy to the pen where he excelled last postseason and at the more »

I don’t think its time for owens yet, ranaudo and barnes are ahead of him at this point in terms of eta. Hopefully farrell and co come to there senses and move workman to the pen and give his spot i more »
