Sure there was a cost in trading for him but the Bruins won their first cup in 39 years and he was a part of it! I'll take the cup over a good/bad deal any day.... more »

Thanks Bruins - I been waiting for this since I was a kid watching Orr and the Bruins in 72! Haven't watched hockey this long in the season, ever.... going enjoy the summer and waiting for next season more »

Team of destiny - winning the cup in Vancouver will be all the sweeter watching Chara & Thomas carry the cup around their rink. Bruins will break through in Van & Thomas will be his usual stone wall. more »

He's consistent but not great by any means and would be a good fill-in until another defenseman or two are ready from the farm system but the max. would be $2.5m with perhaps some bonus as an incentiv more »

The Bruins will win 2 more - especially after Luongo (of 8 goals a game & pulled in another) makes a statement about the "1" save he would have made that Timmy didn't in game 5 - oh, by the way I thin more »

Enough blame on Thomas he is the reason they are still alive; yes it was a possible misjudgement on his positioning on the goal but look at the goal scorer - not really a threat to score, along with t more »

I read the posts too - absolute, ignorant morons! It's unfortunate because of geographical / political boundaries, some of us have to lumped in them others of lower intelligence but that is our burden more »

The Bruins will win this series by continuing their play of last night. Tough loss of Horton - hopefully this can inspire the balance of the team to step up their game and rub out the canucks the next more »

Vancouver is definitely not the class act they have tried to dull us into this thinking and Romes' hit has awoken the giants - I agree Bruins in 6, as long as Timmy keeps bringing his "A" game & what more »

The Bruins were down 0-2 in the first series against an inferior opponent; Van is better in areas then Mtl was but not much - the Bruins will rebound. Van's strength's coming in havn't materialized - more »

Still the optimist but the Bruins got to stop giving these away. In O/T, win face-off, then three rookie mistakes in a row - Ference (instead of 44??), throws the puck away without pressure, Thomas ov more »

If Sequin is only playing 6 min's and we need to be more physical, perhaps its Thorton time - his downside is alot less than his upside & in 6 min's he can run into alot of Canucks... more »

I'd leave him out of game 1 and see how it goes - I don't think Thorton is as slow as many have noted and I have watched him many times retrieve the puck cleanly in his own end and move it up ice and more »

I live just west of London, Ont & there are few Bruins fans out here - many are masochists (i.e., Leaf fans). I grew up in Toronto but was always a Bruins fan as I spent most of my summers in the Parr more »

Never in doubt - dominated game; looking forward to seeing the Bruins give Vancouver more than they can handle. Great to see Timmy stand out again - the announcers never give this guy enough respect, more »

T.B. players have a no fight clause - if you noticed they go no where near Lucic, Chara or Horton and Downie already cowers from everyone; bringing in Thorton would be a waste. I agree, some real minu more »
