I think that Bill's strategy is to have an extra 1st round pick every year, that he can trade for a 2nd and a 1st next year. That way he'll always have an extra 2nd rounder and a chip for the next yea more »

I loved it when NE drafted Vollmer in the second round, and everyone stopped and stared for a second, then looked to Kiper. He had a lot to say about him, knew his German roots and that he played for more »

This just shows me that Smith's actions are just as much to blame for the current situation as any of the owners. He's stubborn and obviously just trying to throw his weight around. It's the first lab more »

The current rule starts players at the 30, and it seems to me that the kick team and the returner meet somewhere between the 15-20 yard line (I'm assuming it's a good kicker who has decent hang time). more »

Great guy and a heck of a story. He will be missed on the line. I got his autograph a couple years ago in Kansas City, and he was very classy. Good luck in the future Steve! more »

After seeing what he said about the Patriots, this guy is a tool. Mankins should fire him and get someone who is a lot more level headed. Sure, he doesn't have the long-term deal he wants yet, but his more »

I am an Iowa Hawkeyes fan, and Matt Roth went to Iowa. He is a physical player, but not very intelligent. I would doubt that he could understand and execute the complex defenses that Belichick uses. P more »

My opinion would be that taping them isn't the primary goal, it's to let the other team know that you're taping their signals. Next time you play them, they have to spend more time changing signals. M more »

Nice coaching Jets, way to have a back-up lined up. Do you really think that Bill doesn't have a backup figured out for every position? I guarantee that Bill knows who else could long-snap in an emerg more »

I never thought that he'd be a Patriot, just because of his price tag. I just wondered if it was possible for him to still play during this postseason for another team, namely the Jets more »

Since his contract is void, can a playoff team pick him up and play him in the playoffs? I'm not saying that it would be needed for the Pats, but I would hate to see the Jets pick him up and play him more »

Real shutdown corners don't get thrown at all that often, because they cover their receivers so well. Look at Asomugha in Oakland, he had 8 in one season, and has only had 1 per season since. He's reg more »

What I would like to see is a return to attacking a defense where it's most vulnerable, which would require different game-planning each week. If a defense is quick, run a lot of screens, draws, misdi more »
