Alumni Stadium capacity is 44,500, so if entire sections of the upper decks and sidelines being empty equals about 25% of the stadium, than BC's figures are pretty accurate. I agree with you on the ha more »

Great point, although maybe it is the perception of opinion which is different. What do I mean, BU, Harvard, Tufts, MIT, Northeastern, Simmons, etc etc do not have a major FBS football program affilia more »

Not all parking is $10,000, as that is commonplace though for most ACC institutions to be closer to the stadium. The donation to the university is tax deductible as a charitable donation which helps s more »

In college athletics now it is all about the money. With P5 autonomy on the horizon, unionization of college athletes you can not segregate Boston College as being "all about the $$" without labeling more »

Interesting, another jaded poster who speaks opinion, rather than facts. Okay, I'll bite, seeing that you are using Harvard as your benchmark of "college football history." Harvard has less Heisman Tr more »

I think you are onto something with your post, however not because "they're so dumb down South" but rather about the media. The media controls a lot of things, what you buy, how you vote, how you plan more »

Good post, and I agreed. Miami, USC to an extent Northwestern and to a much lesser extent Stanford are the only schools that compete in a "pro sports market" and when the team is struggling, so does i more »

I'm sorry that you feel such disdain for Boston College, and you would rather shave your privates than root for BC, yet feel compelled to post in a comments section about BC. Anyone who truly doesn't more »

The Eagles showed a ton of heart today. They had no right being in this game (on paper), and this was virtually the same team which lost last year 51-7 to the Noles. Addazio is onto something.

If by competitive you meant sloppy and by New England you meant Connecticut, then yes. Michigan is showing that they are clearly overrated. You can't lose to an FCS opponent and consider yourselve to more »

The Frozen Four is not in Kansas or California genius. Then again, probably some of that UConn graduation rate coming to play that you can't spell a major city correctly.

Glad to see that Notre Dame hockey is continuing the rich athletic tradition of success in post season tournaments. Athletically the Irish have not been relevant, sans women's hoops, in any of the big more »

An Eagles fan posting on an article about Boston College is not a troll. Some 14 year old "Notre Dame fan" posting on EVERYTHING Boston College negatively is a troll.

You have to love this troll, as BC and it's program has gotten so under his skin he feels the need to chastise it. I guess that makes him feel all nice inside. Have fun in the mess that your administr more »

I think Eddie Lacy just ran over Lennay Kakua...I mean Manti Te'o again.

UConn...the athletic program that no one wants.

While I do agree with the overall tenor of your post, you are off in a couple aspects, most notably that Spaziani ovbersaw the weakest portion of the BC squad, the defense. BC frequently led the NCAA more »

I think we BC fans regret it, or not taking Bill O'Brien when he expressed interest in the position.
