I think "key hits in critical situations" is relative. Back in Ted's days there were no wild cards, divisional series, etc, only a World Series. Also media coverage was nothing compared to today. I am more »

Foxx is not even in the conversation. He only played 5 full seasons with the Sox, 3 of which were great, 2 very good. Cannot compare to Yaz's 23 seasons and franchise altering season of 67'. more »
